Discover the upcoming Airbus A330-800neo for Microsoft Flight Simulator by Headwind Simulations.
The Airbus A330-800 is a wide-body airliner that is part of the A330 family of commercial jets. It is a variant of the A330neo (new engine option) series, which also includes the larger A330-900. The A330-800 is designed to be a more fuel-efficient and cost-effective alternative to the older A330-200 model.
The A330-800 has a seating capacity of around 257 passengers in a typical two-class configuration, or up to 440 passengers in a high-density configuration. It has a range of around 8,150 nautical miles (15,094 km), which allows it to fly long-haul routes without needing to refuel.
The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, which are more fuel-efficient than the engines used on the A330-200. The A330-800 also features a number of aerodynamic improvements, such as a new wing design and sharklets, which help to reduce fuel consumption.
The A330-800 is also equipped with the latest generation of avionics and navigation systems, which provide pilots with more information and greater control over the aircraft. This includes the latest communications and entertainment systems for passengers, providing them with comfortable and connected inflight experience.
